Note to self: Never run out of groceries when you're trying to eat better!
I let myself run out of nice things for breakfast and snacks. Eating a tiny breakfast or one without much (or any) protein, and following it up with nothing but a packet of tuna before you get off work at 2 in the afternoon will leave you feeling so hungry that you rush to the nearest fast food joint and stuff yourself full of bad-for-you junk. Lesson learned. A few breakfast ideas:
Unfortunately, I've had slight allergies to avocado in the past...but I love it so much that I'll try THIS anyways! |
Because my apartment is pretty much full of boxes and I'm in the middle of packing them all up, I've run out of space for practicing with my hula hoop. I have 3 weeks left here, but will be moving my things before then so I'll pick it back up as soon as I can!
I'm down 5 lbs since the start of my challenge though! Thirty-five pounds to go by the end of August. Along with my hooping practice, I'm considering starting a Beachbody program once I get settled into Matthew's house. I'm really attracted to the new 21 Day Fix. 21 days, 30 minute workouts, AND it comes with portion controlled containers. I really like that it's only 21 days-I think it would be a great starting point for someone (like myself) who is interested in doing any of the Beachbody programs. If you haven't heard of it before, watch this video:
)
If it goes well, I'd like to sign up as a Beachbody Coach and help motivate others!
Yep, my good intentions go steadily out the window when I'm out of groceries too, good for you for sticking to it though.
ReplyDeleteYou have inspired me to do better :)
I'm so ready for Friday to get here so that I can go to the grocery store and buy all sorts of healthy goods for the week!
DeleteCONGRATS on the 5 pounds down! I feel as though the first 10 are the hardest. Once they are gone though, you really realize you can do it. And I know what you mean about a well stocked fridge! I had the same problem the last two weeks. I've started running again, and am taking it a bit more seriously this time around. On the days I went out to eat, I ate salad with little to no dressing (which I actually REALLY like).
ReplyDeleteMy friend is a Beach body coach! She loves it! Have you tried any of their Shakeology stuff? their pretty tasty and if you mix with almond milk, GREAT meal replacements!
Keep up the hooping!!! :)
Thanks so much! Maybe I'll start running too once I get settled in. When I was little I LOVED dry salads! It was pretty much the only way I would eat it! And as far as the Shakeology goes, I've not tried it yet, but I've heard it's really great!
DeleteThat first picture omg...it looks delicious!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so hungry right now, hehe.
I'll definitely have to look into the 21-day beach body program. c:
As for hooping, work on isolations and off body tricks since you have limited space. It will tone your arms!

Thanks for the tips! I'll try that!
DeleteCongrats on your weight loss so far! Have you tried Jillian Michael's 30 day shred! It's a 20 minute a day workout. I have it, but have never finished the 30 days. Maybe I can add that to my goals for the month :)
ReplyDeleteI do have that one! I've tried it a couple of times and haven't finished the 30 days either. Those 20 minutes are ass kickers! I'll definitely have to give it a try again!
DeleteI'm not really a calorie counter I just go by the rule that over eating a single thing is always bad. So lately I've tried to stay away from fast food and if I do cave I eat very small portions. I stopped buying soda and now I try to just eat healthier all around and of course drink lots of water. But biggest downfall is breakfast. The avocado and egg and English muffin and peanut butter look great though! I'm adding that to my grocery list!
